We are a team of researchers from Georgia Tech and Georgia State University. Our goal is to learn about about resilience and coping among lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, gender diverse (i.e., nonbinary, genderqueer, agender, etc.), queer, intersex, and asexual (LGBTQIA+) adults in the Southeast United States during COVID-19.
We are looking for a diverse group of LGBTQIA+ adults to take part in this year-long study. This project will involve completing two online surveys and responding to monthly questions about how you are surviving and thriving during the pandemic. Some individuals may also be invited to an online video interview with our team. Every part of the study will take place online. You can choose whether your diary entries would be shared publicly (with or without a name attached) or kept confidential.
We are able to offer modest compensation for your monthly diary entries. For each monthly diary response, you will receive $10, payable at the end of the study (September 2021). You can only receive compensation once for each monthly prompt, with a maximum compensation of $120 for responses to all 12 prompts.
Those who are invited and participate in a video interview will be offered $20 per interview.
Total compensation will be mailed as a check (only to US postal addresses in the Southeast US) at the conclusion of the study in September, 2021.
To participate, you must be:
- 18 or older
- Identify as LGBTQIA+
- Live in the Southeast United States
If you meet this criteria, please fill out this form and we will get back to you quickly.
